This is a full sheet, 30″x22″ on Arches #140 watercolor paper. The scene is from Tyler State Park on a hike a couple of weeks ago. I worked  from a hand sketch and photos to assemble a composition. Harry Shields introduced me to yellow-green and it was perfect for this painting.

We took Cavaya (our Jack Russel pup) to Tyler state park last week-end and  while on a hike around the lake I spotted this scene which I call “Silent Reflections” The painting is a 14″x20″ and was produced in my studio from a photo and a sketch.

While driving on Swiss Ave. in Dallas I was intrigued by the evening shadows on the historic homes. This painting is an attempt to mass lights and darks to create an interesting composition.
